Mum hits out after son 'bullied'

A MUM has pulled her son out of his school 'indefinitely' after claiming he had been subjected to a 12-month 'bullying' campaign.

Joshua Thomas moved to The Discovery Academy, in Bentilee, in 2023.

But mum Rebecca Thomas says her 13-year-old son has been 'cornered' by up to five children on his way home and been attacked in the school canteen. She has labelled the school's response 'totally inadequate!

Rebecca, of Longton, said: "My son was walking home from school and at least four or five other kids cornered him. One of them demanded he got down on his knees. They were asking him to apologise for something his friend had done to them earlier. My son told them it had nothing to do with him, but they weren't interested. So he did as they asked.
