PORT Vale manager Darren Moore described his side’s preseason double header at Newcastle Town and Kidsgrove Athletic as 'the end of a perfect week'.

- Clive Youlton

A 0-0 draw followed by a 7-0 victory saw the Vale squad ease themselves back into action minus the likes of Ben Amos, Ben Garrity, Funso Ojo and Cameron Humphreys who are all expected to be back in training this week leading up to a trip to a training camp in Wales.

"Thanks to Kidsgrove and Newcastle Town for playing the games and both clubs acquitted themselves well," said Moore.
