Cops called after he was found fishing without a rod licence
POLICE were called after a man spent '30 minutes shouting and swearing' at Environment Agency workers who caught him fishing without a licence on the Trent and Mersey Canal.
The EA staff had to alert cops as Jason Ball refused to give his name and address when he was asked to show his rod licence earlier this year.
Ball, aged 29, of Priory Road, Stone, has now been found guilty of threatening behaviour and possession of an unlicensed fishing rod.
