Judge after 21-year-old stabbed sister's boyfriend following a row over car seats
A JOBLESS dad stabbed his sister’s boyfriend.
Jay Cherry, 21, and other friends and relatives had been summoned to Leonard Street, in Burslem, by the defendant's sister after a row over car seats in June 2023.
David Bennett, prosecuting, told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court: “The complainant and Cherry's sister were arguing because she didn’t have car seats for their two children. When the complainant arrived at Leonard Street, he told her he didn’t want her to drive without car seats.
“She became aggravated and shouted and called her friends and family to have a physical confrontation with the complainant. The defendant appeared and said if he didn’t get out of the car he’d stab him.
