'Justice for the miners has been long overdue'

December 08, 2025

As Christmas comes around once again, many of us find ourselves taking stock of the year just gone.

- David Williams - MP for Stoke-on-Trent North

For me, that means reflecting on the people, places and values that make Stoke-on-Trent North and Kidsgrove the community I am proud to serve.

Representing our area is an extraordinary privilege, and throughout 2025 my focus has remained simple: to be firmly on your side.

That starts with the work that often happens quietly behind the scenes.

With my team, we share a real determination to help residents to navigate difficult and sometimes life-changing challenges.

This year alone, we have worked alongside nearly 5,000 of you to resolve issues you've brought to my attention.

Every case is unique - a housing issue, advocating for you when you think an unfair decision has been taken, tackling antisocial behaviour, making sure your child thrive at schools, working with local businesses - the list goes on.

Being your MP means standing with you in those moments.

On Friday, before my community visits and surgeries I meet with my team.

The first question I ask is: “How have we made life better for residents this week?”.
