Imran's batting brilliance is vital as Whitmore win on their travels

MUHAMMAD Imran produced a stunning innings as Whitmore secured victory on their NSSCL Premier B trip to Leycett.
Whitmore looked to be heading for defeat against the division's bottom side as they found themselves 19-5 in pursuit of their 232-run target.
However, Imran had other ideas and embarked on a batting blitz to turn the tables in dramatic style.
He hit 18 fours and seven sixes in his 99-ball 147 not out to eventually steer Whitmore to a two-wicket success.
It wasn't quite a one-man show as Joe Harrison lent support with 30 and Bilal Hussain chipped in with 27.
Matt Johnson scooped 5-46 for Leycett, with Tom Warburton striking twice.
Earlier in the day, Leycett posted 231-6 from a rain-reduced 45 overs.
Reece White made 50 early on, featuring eight fours, with Dan Redfern weighing in with 35.
But at 128-6, it needed the late-innings heroics of Jaidel Richardson and Isaac McDonald to lead them to a competitive total.
Richardson plundered three fours and six sixes in his 67 not out, with McDonald adding an unbeaten 32.
Imran and Oliver Johnson both struck twice with the ball for Whitmore, before the former then stole the show with the bat.
Bignall End picked up a vital victory over second-from-bottom Norton in Hales.
Norton in Hales looked to be in handy shape as Aaron Thomason's 48 and 18 from Jack Furnival helped them to 71-2.
However, the introduction of Liam Hassett into the attack changed the course of the contest.
