Walters upbeat ahead of the big kick off
STOKE City sporting director Jonathan Walters is pleased with the business that the club's recruitment unit have managed to conduct thus far.
but he has indicated that the Potters aren’t finished in the transfer window just yet, and intend to make further additions to Mark Robins’ squad before the September 1 deadline.
Walters and head of recruitment Ian Torrance have armed Robins with seven new faces so far this summer, and there has been a healthy blend of experience and youth, of loans and permanent deals and of players who can cover a substantial number of roles across the pitch - the latest of those being exciting Tottenham Hotspur prospect Jamie Donley who arrived in the Potteries on Wednesday.
Ahead of the curtain raiser in the Championship against Midlands rivals Derby County tomorrow, Walters held an interview with the club's in-house channel to review the business already completed.
And he maintained that Stoke aren't yet done with their incomings having also recently sold Sol Sidibe and Wouter Burger.
