Councillors to make decision at meeting
PLANS to bulldoze a fire-hit shopping village and build new homes in its place have been recommended for approval.
The planning application for six detached houses at Slater's Shopping Village - hit by a devastating fire that ripped through the complex almost four years ago - will be decided by councillors.
Firefighters were called out to the site on Stone Road in Hill Chorlton in November 2021 after a blaze broke out in the early hours.
