|July 08, 2025
BURSLEM seconds delivered a superb performance to beat Moddershall & Oulton fourths in NSSCL Division Four.
-
Visitors Moddershall & Oulton posted 150 all out in the formative stages, mainly thanks to Jason Don's 50.
His innings contained nine fours, with Samuel Wright chipping in with 27.
Syed Haider Bukhari took 3-29 for Burslem and there were a couple of wickets for Jacob Lowndes.
Burslem required just 24.1 overs to complete a 10-wicket success on the resumption.
Darren Hof was in a hurry as he hit 19 fours in a 78-ball 105 not out, with Luca Abbotts (42no) keeping him company throughout the chase.
Church Eaton claimed a two-wicket win away at Hem Heath thirds.
Dan Robinson's 60, which contained nine fours and two sixes, and Matt Rogerson's 52, featuring 10 boundaries, guided Hem Heath to 156 all out.
Robert Hogarth (4-28) and Matt White (3-37) were the star performers with the ball for the visitors.
There were two wickets apiece for Rogerson (3-32) and Stephen Pugh (3-33) after the tea interval.
But Church Eaton found their way to the winning line courtesy of Michael Holdcroft's 39, 30 from George Burslem and Jordan Talbot's 21.
