'Good' rating for 'happy' nursery

A CITY nursery school previously rated as 'outstanding' has been given a 'good' result following its latest Ofsted inspection.

Bentilee Nursery School was praised for its ambitions for youngsters, exciting curriculum and support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The latest Ofsted inspection took place in July and the report was published this month.

It gave the Dawlish Drive school a 'good' rating.

The report said: "Children are very happy at Bentilee Nursery School; they settle quickly in a nurturing environment.

"Staff care for children greatly, which helps them to feel safe and secure, and children develop independence through their daily routines.
