Dad's bid for an 'adapted' home fails again

A DAD who has failed three times to secure permission to build an adapted bungalow to help him live with Parkinson's disease has had his appeal rejected.

Mark Bullock, who wanted to build on Park Lane in Cheadle, will now have to continue his search for a property.

Mr Bullock, of Cheadle, had hoped to be able to build the bungalow after failing for the past year to find suitable accommodation that would meet his needs in the future. However, his hopes have been repeatedly dashed with planning officers ruling that personal circumstances rarely outweigh planning policies.

An estate agent confirmed that a bungalow 'rarely' comes on the market and currently there were no properties on the market or in the recent past. They also stated there was a national shortage of the house type owing to low returns for developers.
