County's delight as 'driven' Lowe signs up for season-long loan

NATHAN Lowe has been described as 'one of the most sought-after signatures for League One clubs' by his new Stockport County boss.

The 19-year-old Stoke City striker has joined the ambitious Hatters on loan until the end of the campaign.

It follows his successful stint at Walsall in the first half of last season when he scored 15 goals and registered five assists in just 22 games in League Two.

That form earned him a recall to Stoke's squad in January and recognition as League Two's Young Player of the Season.

Now City have taken the decision to loan him out again to aid the teenager's development.

Huddersfield had also been interested in the forward but Stockport beat them to the punch and County manager Dave Challinor believes it will be an excellent addition to his squad.

"I'm delighted to be able to welcome Nathan to the club," Challinor told the Stockport club website.
