SANDBACH managed to chalk up a second straight NSSCL Division One - but only just - on their visit to Checkley seconds.
The Cheshire outfit squeezed home by just two runs in an enthralling encounter at Four Trees.
Sandbach impressed in the first half of the contest as they managed to find their way to 186-6 from their 40 overs.
Ben Collett fronted their batting bid with 46, an innings which was ably supported by Baber Agha (42), Jack Collett (29no) and Ben Guildford (22no).
Dan Amos and Ben Haslegrave both picked up a couple of wickets for the home side.
