CHEADLE booked their place in the Pinfold Trophy final with a tense one-wicket success at Barlaston.

The Moorlanders' bowlers were first to show as three wickets apiece for Harry Bonehill (3-8) and Louie Welford (3-19), backed up by Alfie Bonehill's double, left Barlaston all out for 86.

Toby King (14) and Liam Rogers (11) made the most progress with the bat.

At that juncture it looked as though Cheadle would have a relatively comfortable passage into the final - but Barlaston had other ideas.
