Charity offers helping hand to families in need of support

More than 200 people have already received aid from scheme backed with lottery cash

VULNERABLE families are being urged to accept some extra help as part of a charity's latest scheme.

Home and Hope, which has been introduced by Emmaus North Staffs, has already helped 200 people. It is run by community support workers Lucy Eghiaruwa and Naomi Yearde.

The project, which has received support from the National Lottery Community Fund, complements the charity's service that supplies quality furniture items to families.

With the appointment of Lucy and Naomi, it now means extra services such as money and benefits advice, health, education and emotional support and workshops can be carried out, at a person's home or at the charity's Hanley base.
