Brehaut looking for quick solutions after Leek defeat
The Sentinel
|November 05, 2025
LEEK Town boss Josh Brehaut knows he has to change something to ensure his team start picking up results in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
A 2-0 defeat to league leaders Warrington Rylands on Saturday left the team one place above third-bottom Guiseley on goal difference. Previously the Blues had the misfortune of playing then leaders Lancaster City after an FA Trophy win, losing in the last minute, and now they have suffered the same fate after beating Bromsgrove Sporting in the cup, only to lose to Rylands.
"We found ourselves 2-0 down at halftime to two individual mistakes," Brehaut reflected.
"They were carbon-copy mistakes and when you do that you give yourselves an absolute mountain to climb. In terms of how the game was, we did fine.
"We had more than enough territory in the game, we had more than enough final-third entries. We lacked that little bit of quality that they managed to produce and that's because they are where they are and we are where we are.
"But as far as playing against the top of the league goes and reflecting on how the game was, we had enough moments in it and it wasn't one where our goalkeeper was flying around the goal making save after save.
