This year's World Environment Day comes exactly two months before countries meet again to continue negotiating a global treaty to end plastic pollution.

The next generation faces significant environmental concerns, primarily due to climate change and its impacts, along with issues like biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion. Experts warn that these problems will require immediate and longterm solutions.

Key Environmental Concerns for the Next Generation:

This is a major concern, leading to extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and disruptions to ecosystems.

Biodiversity Loss:

The decline in plant and animal species due to habitat destruction, pollution, and other factors poses a threat to the health of the planet.
