TAKING forward the vision of Naveen Jindal, three-time Member of Parliament and Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), the Jindal Foundation has launched an innovative programme, Jindal Krishi Seva, aimed at promoting natural farming and sustaining agricultural production in Angul district, free from chemical-based fertilisers and pesticides.

Jindal Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal on Tuesday kick-started the project by flagging off a Mobile Soil Testing Van.
Umashankar Mishra, Chief District Agriculture Officer (CDAO) of Angul; Amber Lubun, Deputy Director of Horticulture (DDH), Angul; Ashutosh Roy, District Development Manager, NABARD; Debasis Mishra, Principal Scientist and Head of KVK-Angul; Pankaj Malhan, Executive Director, JSP; Prashanta Kumar Hota, President & Group Head - CSR & Education, along with senior JSP officials, over 300 farmers, government officials, and agri-experts joined the programme.
On the occasion, Shallu Jindal said, “The Jindal Krishi Seva initiative is designed to bring together natural farming practices, farmer training, capacity building, natural seed treatment, and the use of natural agri-inputs like compost, vermiculture, cow dung, and cow urine. It also includes the preparation of bio-fertilisers to promote natural microbial growth, along with the adoption of appropriate agronomic practices, crop diversification, and the use of modern farm equipment—under a single integrated platform.
