Wilfredo "Willie" Buendia Revillame comes from humble beginnings, a graduate of the school of hard knocks.
Wilfredo "Willie" Buendia Revillame comes from humble beginnings, a graduate of the school of hard knocks. Starting out his career as a drummer, he made his showbiz debut on Lunch Date in the late '80s as one of the "Hawi Boys." He then went on to acting in movies and more hosting stints on Sang Linggo nAPO Sila and Magandang Tanghali Bayan.
Wil, as he is more known now, got his big break as a sole host of Wowowee, and it was here that his generosity and penchant for public service was recognized. Around 2010, Wil joined the TV5 family with his show Willing Willie, which later became Wil Time Bigtime, then Wowowillie in 2013.
Eleven years later, Wil returned to TV5 on the strength of a new partnership with MediaQuest Holdings, TV5's owner. In June last year, Wil announced that his new show on TV5 was Wil to Win, with the pilot episode "Wil-Come Back Party" airing in July.
