Stocks tumble anew amid corruption concerns

The local stock market tumbled for the second consecutive session as sentiment continued to sour amid prevailing concerns on corruption issues in the country.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index declined by 1.55 percent or 96.29 points yesterday, settling at 6,118.54.
The broader All Shares index likewise fell by 0.96 percent or 35.62 points to cap off the session at 3,693.67.
“Prices declined further as investors grew more cautious about the ongoing issues facing the country, which continue to weigh on overall market confidence,” Luis Limlingan of Regina Capital said.
