Queenay Mercado proud to spotlight rising Pinoy artists in 'Vibe’

She wears the hat of a jock and shares the hosting duties with Ana Ramsey, Ryle Santiago, Joao Constancia, Elijah Canlas, Paulo Angeles, Dylan Menor, Kych Minemoto and Maxie Andreison.

Queenay, a "Sing Galing" SingToker, also works with Gen V talents in the show's segments such as "Main Vibe," "Uprising" and "OG Experience."

"At first, medyo nahirapan din po talaga ako. Siyempre, nasanay ako through TikTok (it was a bit or somewhat difficult for me. Of course, I'm used to doing content on TikTok)," said Queenay about her venturing out into mainstream entertainment in a virtual chat with The STAR.

"Yung adjustment medyo naging malawak din para sa akin. Medyo naging mahirap (the adjustment was quite broad and wide), but at the same time, siguro yung mga taong na nakasalamuha ko through mainstream, sila din yung tumulong talaga sa akin para at least somehow, alam mo yun, na mayakap ko ang mundo ng mainstream (people from the mainstream, whom I've met, are the same ones who have helped me, you know, embrace the world of the mainstream)."

Her first-ever show was "Sing Galing" on TV5. She has also tried her hand at acting.

Prior to being part of "Vibe," she appeared in the TV series "Ang Himala ni Niño," also aired on TV5.
