PNB to name ex-Citibanker as new president

Sources told The STAR that PNB's board of directors would hold a special board meeting today to approve Bautista's appointment.

Bautista will succeed Florido Casuela, who took the helm of the listed bank in 2022 following the appointment of then PNB president Jose Arnulfo "Wick" Veloso as president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System.

Prior to joining PNB, Bautista was with UnionBank, where his 27-year career contributed to the bank's transformation into a leading digitalized financial institution and one of the country's leading retail lending-focused banks.
