Monsoon to bring rains

The southwest monsoon will bring rains to the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“Based on the latest data, we did not monitor any lowpressure area or typhoon inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility. At least for this week, the chance of a cyclone is very nil,” PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said yesterday.
Western Visayas and Southern Luzon will continue experiencing rains brought by the monsoon, he noted.
“Because of the southwest monsoon, there is a big possibility of rains, particularly in Palawan, Western Visayas, including Panay Island and Guimaras,” he added.
