Maris Racal to Sunshine: We Did It!

"We did it!" This is the message of Maris Racal to her titular role Sunshine in the sports drama flick, written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, which is now having a successful run in local cinemas.

It also earned numerous recognitions in various film festivals abroad.

"The main goal of the film is to spread awareness, to get more people to, you know, be passionate about the message of the film. So, I think we did it on that part. We took active baby steps and ginawa natin paunti-unti and we're gonna get there," Maris told The STAR in a group interview during the Maya Black credit card event where she was introduced as endorser, alongside Julia Barretto and Jericho Rosales.

Producer Project 8 Projects announced that "Sunshine" is now on its fourth week of screening in 33 cinemas nationwide, with ticket prices set at P275 in Metro Manila cinemas and P230 in the provinces.

"Sunshine" is also showing in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. It is co-produced by Anima Studios, Cloudy Duck Pictures and Happy Infinite Productions, with musical scoring by Rico Blanco.
