Kanlaon volcanic ash emission persists

Kanlaon Volcano on Negros Island continued to spew ash yesterday, a day after showing an elevated similar activity, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
Phivolcs said Kanlaon's ash emissions occurred between 8:07 a.m. and 9:07 a.m.
"These events generated grayish plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater and drifted southeast," state volcanologists said.
On Saturday, the volcano emitted ash between 5:46 a.m. and 7:02 a.m., which generated light-gray plumes that rose 750 meters above the crater.
