ICTSI names Enrique Aboitiz as new director

Logistics giant International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has selected the chairman of the Aboitiz conglomerate to become an independent director in place of the late businessman Cesar Buenaventura.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), ICTSI announced the designation of Enrique Aboitiz, chairman of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., as an independent director.

Aboitiz will serve the unexpired term of Buenaventura, starting Jan. 1, 2026, and also assume the positions he left behind upon his passing.

Aboitiz will chair the related party transactions committee of ICTSI and also become a member of its audit; corporate governance; and environment, social and governance panels. Additionally, Aboitiz will join ICTSI’s board risk oversight committee.
