Filipino households are expected to spend more in the last three months of 2025, with consumer outlook turning more upbeat across a broad range of goods and services, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported.

Results of the BSP’s third quarter Consumer Expectations Survey showed the spending outlook index for the next quarter climbed to 40.7 percent from 37.8 percent in the second quarter.

The more positive view was evident in both the National Capital Region and areas outside NCR (AONCR).

Consumers were more inclined to spend on food, beverages, tobacco as well as clothing and footwear, house rent and furnishing, gas and other fuels, transportation, information and communication, education, recreation and culture, restaurants and accommodation services and personal care and miscellaneous goods and services.
