Per Sorensen is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the famous '80s Norwegian Fra Lippo Lippi band.

- By JERRY DONATO

He shared the good news that he will be in town to headline the Oct. 24 concert, "Philippine Fans' Love Affair with Fra Lippo Lippi" at The Theatre at Solaire in a recent virtual group interview. It's a chance for fans and the new generation of music enthusiasts to experience the well-crafted melody and lyrics of each Fra Lippo Lippi song such as Beauty and Madness, Light and Shade, Later and Everytime I See You.

Each time Per meets and performs for his Pinoy fans, he is amazed by their enthusiasm and support.

"I love all the enthusiasm that I meet (and get to experience) every time I play for my Filipino fans. When I'm in front of them, we have such good dialogue and communication," said he. "We sing along together, and I love that, and they're very enthusiastic. It's fantastic for me to be on stage."

That is rooted in the sincerity and universality of the Fra Lippo Lippi songs.

"Well, both," added Per about the show's repertoire. "We'll do the hits, of course, and we'll also have a new song." It's Stay This Time, described by him as sort of like a Christmas song.

"There will be more visuals, and that's for sure, and some are surprises."
