DOMALANDAN, Pangasinan — We mourn our grandmother, Teofila Bravo Unson, who passed away 10 days ago at the age of 100. She was the last of my living grandparents, my links to the past here in my mother’s province of birth. The entire time, it brought back all the memories of joy this writer had in discovering the game 55 years ago, a love that has not faded with time. Moments were brought more clearly into focus with all the social media posts of known players like Kiefer Ravena, Marc Pingris, Kevin Quiambao, Carl Tamayo, Francis Lopez playing in outside leagues, town fiestas or exhibitions all over Metro Manila and even in the provinces.
