Cosco posts 2-digit jump in Q1 earnings

Robust revenues fueled a double-digit increase in the earnings of Lucio Co’s listed retail holding firm Cosco Capital Inc. in the first quarter.

Cosco reported a net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company of about P2 billion during the three-month period, up by 12.2 percent from last year’s P1.78 billion.

Consolidated net income for the quarter grew by 10.4 percent to P3.41 billion from P3.09 billion despite lingering macro-economic challenges.
