Two days into the new year and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has announced the country's hosting of two major international events in late 2027 and early 2028.

After the inaugural Southeast Asian Plus Youth Games or SEA Plus YG, POC president Abraham Tolentino said also on the calendar is the Asian Beach Games or ABG.
After burning the lines with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) brass, the POC sealed the hosting of the SEA Plus YG in late 2027, instead of early 2028, according to Tolentino.
