President Marcos hailed Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo's gold medal feat at the Paris Olympics, and expressed optimism that the prized athlete would bag more achievements.
"We've witnessed history as Carlos Yulo clinched the Philippines' first gold medal in artistic gymnastics at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
I am confident that it will not be the last," Marcos said in a Facebook post Saturday night.
"Congratulations, Caloy! The entire country stands proud with you!" he added.
