Andrea Torres: No soul-searching, just waiting for the right role

After her inspired stint as the feisty and empowered villainess Czarina in "Love Before Sunrise," Andrea Torres is back to acting via the GMA Afternoon Prime intense drama "Akusada" as the selfless, loving daughter and sister Carol. With the character's personality and social status, one can say it's somehow related to a previous role of Sisa in "Maria Clara at Ibarra."

Andrea, the Sparkle GMA Artist Center actress, as expected, is playing it to the hilt, regardless of the role she's given.

Like what she said in a press conference in the past, Andrea always wants to be challenged. "I always want to surprise the audience by playing something new."

Her Carol in "Akusada" depicts the daily struggles and triumphs of someone who makes a decent living out of selling mussels and dreams of a comfortable life for the family.

With how the Kapuso drama has been written, encompassing every character arc, a lot has already happened in the personal life of Carol.
