Joy Trew will get a chance tomorrow to tell the King about her secret work intercepting German signals - and how she knew before most people that VE Day was coming.
“We always had the information. We knew where the army was. We knew what people were thinking, but it doesn't do to think," she said, recalling how she and her colleagues never discussed the war outside work.
