HCBA President welcomes Saturday sittings in J&K High Court

Senior Advocate Nirmal K. Kotwal, President of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, has welcomed the judiciary’s initiative to hold regular sittings of the High Court on two Saturdays every month, terming it a progressive and reform-oriented step towards timely justice.

Kotwal said the move has been widely appreciated by members of the Bar and litigants alike, as it demonstrates the judiciary’s commitment to improving access to justice and expediting case disposal. He said such measures would help address the long-pending backlog of cases, particularly matters awaiting adjudication for extended periods.
