DLSA Reasi gears up to launch campaign to promote mediation

The District Legal Services Authority Reasi is going to launch a district-wide Campaign in pursuant to the initiative of the Supreme Court of India to promote mediation as an effective alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
In this regard, the Chairman (Principal District & Session Judge, Reasi), Khalil Choudhary convened a meeting with all Judicial Officers of the District.
Speaking at the meeting, the District and Session Judge emphasized the role of mediation in ensuring speedy, cost-effective and amicable resolution of disputes, in consonance with the vision of the Supreme Court of India. Judicial Officers were asked to actively identify suitable cases for mediation and to motivate litigants to opt for mediation at the earliest possible stage.
