Cong afraid of Ram Rajya, misusing Gandhi’s Legacy: Bali Bhagat
The Northlines
|December 29, 2025
Senior BJP leader and former Health Minister Bali Bhagat on Sunday launched a blistering attack on the Congress, dismissing its proposed 'MGNREGA Bachao' protest as a shameless election gimmick and accusing the party of exploiting Mahatma Gandhi’s name purely for political survival.
In a strongly worded staement, Bhagat challenged the Congress to come clean on its 55 years of misrule, demanding a white paper to expose what he termed the party's “politics of deception and dynastic glorification.”
“In their 55 years of governance, how many schemes did the Congress actually name after Mahatma Gandhi? The reality is that most schemes were named after Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. Let them present a white paper first—only then can we compare their tokenism with the genuine reforms brought by the BJP,” Bhagat said.
