Modi meets Zelenskyy in New York, offers India's support for peace bid

BEFORE wrapping up his three-day visit to the US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the third such meeting between the two leaders in about three months.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the UN's Summit of the Future, was requested by the Ukrainian side. Foreign secretary Vikram Misri said the back-to-back interaction between the two leaders shows India's commitment to finding a way forward and contributing in any way possible to a resolution of the conflict.
In the meeting, Modi conveyed India's readiness to provide all support to facilitate a lasting and peaceful resolution of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
