Two rescued fishermen were also released; search operation on to find missing person
THE Sri Lanka Navy handed over two rescued fishers and the body of another fisher, involved in the mid-sea accident off Delft Island, to the Indian Navy on Friday night.
The accident occurred after a Lankan Navy vessel rammed into an Indian fishing boat with four fishermen from Tamil Nadu M Mokkaiah (54), R Muthu Muniandi (57), K Malaisamy (59) and V Ramachandran (64) on board off Delft Island near Jaffna in the Lankan waters on the wee hours of July 31.
