Federation for the blind asks TN to drop move to scrap 2 GOs for disabled

THE National Federation of the Blind's Tamil Nadu branch has strongly opposed the government's decision to declare GO 151 and GO 20, both related to service condition of disabled in govt jobs, as inoperable or redundant.

A new GO No.24 issued on October 31, which offered weightage marks in recruitment exams to persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBDs) working temporarily in non-sanctioned Group C and D posts, had scrapped the two earlier orders.
"The government should withdraw the new order and implement the two previous GOs," the federation said.
