THE Greater Chennai Police (GCP) denied permission for a chariot procession conducted by the Sangeetha Gnanamu Committee.

In an order issued, police said the procession was not on an 'approved route'. Police also said they received inputs that 'persons with different opinion might intrude and create a law-and-order issue'.
