AIADMK walks out; no CBI probe into hooch, says min

MEMBERS of the AIADMK, led by party general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, staged a walkout from the Assembly for the second consecutive day on Saturday after their demand to discuss the Kallakurichi incident during question hour was refused by Speaker M Appavu.

To AIADMK's demand, Appavu said the question hour was designated for members to raise constituency-related questions.

"Once the question hour is over, you can raise the issue. I will provide adequate time," he said, emphasising that issues cannot be raised arbitrarily at any time in the House. Despite the clarification, AIADMK members raised slogans and staged a walkout.
