Set against the misty hills and lush greenery of the UNESCO-designated Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve, The Nilgiris Earth Festival (TNEF) returns this December, offering an experience that seamlessly weaves together food, culture and conservation.
Running from December 19-22, this much-anticipated festival promises travellers a chance to immerse themselves in the region's ancient traditions while contemplating the future of sustainability.
Originally conceived as the Nilgiris Wild Foods Festival, the event evolved into The Nilgiris Earth Festival in 2023, broadening its scope to reflect the interconnectedness of food systems, ecological conservation and cultural heritage.
