Officials seize 2,132 liters of illegal spirit during raids in several districts

In a major operation, sleuths of the Excise Department have arrested 36 persons and seized 2,132 liters of illegal spirit, besides counterfeit liquor bottles and packaging materials.

Between June 23 and July 22, based on intelligence inputs, raids were conducted in Konaseema, West Godavari, Anakapalli, Bapatla, and Nellore, leading to the seizure of over 2,200 liters of spirit, empty bottles, caps, sealing machines, and counterfeit labels.

These efforts were complemented by surveillance inputs from across state borders.
