OVER 40% of India's demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is being met by Tamil Nadu, making it the EV capital, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said on Monday. He was speaking after inaugurating e-vehicle major VinFast's manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi.

Stalin said the e-car manufacturing plant will address concerns related to global warming and improve the economy of the southern districts.
