Nellore underground drainage connection fee slashed to ₹1

MUNICIPAL Administration Minister Dr Ponguru Narayana announced that the underground drainage connection fee in Nellore has been reduced from ₹5,000 to just ₹1 after discussions with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
He termed this a major relief for the people of Nellore and reaffirmed the government's commitment to transforming the city into a model urban centre. The underground drainage system in Nellore is nearing completion, with the Chief Minister approving ₹165 crore to finalise the remaining 10% of the work.
