KL to act on Aloshious' drug allegation against co-star

The Kerala government on Friday made it clear that action would be taken following Malayalam actor Vincy Aloshious' serious allegation that her co-actor Shine Tom Chacko used drugs on the set of an upcoming film.

State Excise Minister M B Rajesh told reporters that the matter would be probed thoroughly, even if Aloshious chooses not to lodge a formal complaint. He asserted that drug use will not be tolerated under any circumstances, regardless of the sector involved.

"There will be no exceptions or special considerations when it comes to narcotic use. Wherever we receive credible information, it will be acted upon. Cinema sets are not sanctified spaces immune from scrutiny," Rajesh stated firmly.

In a similar vein, State Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian said the government views Aloshious' claims with the seriousness they deserve. He noted that such allegations will be investigated without leniency or bias.
