BABA Aparajith put up a captain's knock (77 48b, n.o) to help Chepauk Super Gillies defeat the Tiruppur Tamizhans by eight wickets in the TNPL at the CDCA- Sri Ramakrishna college cricket ground in Coimbatore on Friday.
While chasing a target of 174 with the pitch conditions in mind, a good powerplay phase was key. Despite losing K Aashiq early, Chepauk ended with 68 runs on the board after six overs, thanks to Mokit Hariharan (46) and Aparajith.
