A YOUNG man who was engaged in rubber tapping was mauled to death by a tiger in Kalikavu, Malappuram, in the early hours of Thursday.
The tiger bit Kallamala resident Kalathipadickal Gafoor, 45, on the neck and dragged him into the jungle, said his fellow tapper Samad. The attack took place while Gafoor was engaged in tapping in the Adaykakund Parassery rubber estate. He is survived by wife and three children.
