In four years, Kerala lifts 78% of identified families from extreme poverty

Local Self-Government Minister M B Rajesh said that the Kerala government has lifted 78 percent of families identified as extremely poor—around 50,300 households—out of extreme poverty within four years.
The feat was achieved via the state's extreme poverty eradication scheme, the only one of its kind in India.
